2025 Brandon Hall Gold in Best New Hire Onboarding Program

The Clinical Research Associate (CRA) Training Program is a mandatory, blended learning program for employees monitoring clinical trial sites at IQVIA. The revamped training program shortened the onboarding duration from 32 weeks to 17 weeks, achieving project readiness by week 8, and reducing training time by 46%. The program also saved $2M in terms of direct personnel costs and significantly  improved training-related quality by 68%.

The data-driven Compliance and Competence Assurance (CCA) Portal at Shell transformed compliance training by replacing rule-based nominations with a self-profiling system that precisely identifies employees at risk. This approach eliminated redundant training, reduced instructor-led sessions by 56%, and recovered 11,000+ work hours, saving $1.1 million annually. The portal further improved accessibility, enhanced engagement, and strengthened compliance effectiveness across Shell’s global workforce.

Elimination of Fatalities is a mobile-enabled compliance course designed for the safety training of frontline workers and supervisors at three major mining sites of Anglo American which resulted in the reduction of High Potential Incidents at the mining sites.
